NHK World's 'Newsroom Tokyo' Debuts on KCET
NHK World's newest program, "Newsroom Tokyo," debuts on KCET Monday at 8 a.m.
The show will be replacing NHK's "Newsline" and "France 24" on weekday mornings. However, both newscasts will remain in their regularly scheduled afternoon and evening time slots, with "France 24" airing at 4 p.m. and "Newsline" at 6:30 p.m.
"Newsroom Tokyo" will also be broadcast on NHK World, our partner international broadcast station, on weekdays at 4 a.m. -- live from Tokyo. The program may soon be available to steam on NHK World's website as well.
The 45-minute news show offers comprehensive, in-depth coverage and commentary of the day's news from Japan and the rest of Asia. Sho Beppu and Aki Shibuya, who used to host NHK World's "Tokyo Fashion Express," co-host the program, while Yuko Fukushima (pictured standing above) will report on business.
