KCET's New Tuesday Night Lineup Includes 'Artbound,' 'Studio A,' 'Border Blaster'
KCET's Tuesday-night lineup just got more creative.
Our "creative explorations" block kicks off at 8 p.m. with the Emmy-winning show "Artbound," which explores the arts and culture of Southern California.
Our two newest music shows then air back to back at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. "Artbound Presents Studio A" is a performance music series that digs deep into the new sounds of the American musical vernacular. Filmed at the KCET studios in Burbank in front of a live audience, the uninterrupted 30-minute sets allow musicians to tell the stories behind their songs and the influence that culture, history, and geography have had on their craft.
"Border Blaster" is a multi-platform KCET production curating music videos from around the world, transcending national borders, and exposing viewers to the cross-fertilization of musical styles and genres defining contemporary music.
Our night of KCET original programs concludes with "City Walk" -- the only television series that journeys by foot across the country for a ground's eye view of urban America -- at 10 p.m. and "Earth Focus" -- an environmental news magazine that features investigative reports and in-depth stories about our changing environment and how it affects people around the world -- at 10:30 p.m.
