SRL Winter Academy: Preserving Indigenous Knowledge for Future Generations

Meet Salvadoran artist, Beatriz Cortez, who created "Generosity 1," a sculpture for the Armory Arts Museum in Los Angeles, California inspired by Sputnik 1. The sculpture is Cortez’s interpretation of what it could be like if indigenous knowledge were preserved and sent into outer space – to share and protect it for future generations. This piece was produced by Samantha Yee, Fernando Leiva, and Angela Alvarado, with support from Victor Fernandez and Anthony Payne.
