Charlie Quon - The City Market And East Adams
Like many Chinese children of the time, Charlie Quon grew up helping his father in the family's grocery store, learning the produce industry early in his life. In the summertime, he worked in the City Market, dealing with farmers and retailers as well as packing produce for distribution around the city. We talked with Charlie Quon about his days in City Market and how Chinese Americans ruled the produce industry.
