This trip takes host Dave Santina and frequent guest Alvin McLane north to the Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge covers over 570,000 acres of Nevada and acts as home to a variety of species. Stretching across most of the northwestern corner of the state, Sheldon attracts lovers of wildlife, hunters, and, since the early 20th Century, opal miners.
