Gov. Brown's State of the State: Post-Speech Analysis
Gov. Jerry Brown delivered his State of the State earlier today in Sacramento. This was his third State of the State message since taking office in 2011, and what a difference a couple of years has made. The Governor began his term with $27 billion in deficit. But now, according to the budget he's proposing, California could be in for a surplus by next year. Another difference: the Democratic super majority in the legislature. Whatever his agenda, the governor may now have the support to carry it out.
