Reporter Roundup: Unemployment Woes, COVID-19 Stats

The April 29 edition of the Reporter Roundup has KPCC reporters discussing unemployment concerns, COVID-19’s impact on the Pacific Islander population and the latest confirmed case count.

KPCC’s Aaron Mendelson shares what he’s learned by looking closely at the data to understand about who is being impacted by the coronavirus.

Reporter Josie Huang has information on how the disease has impacted Pacific Islanders here in Southern California. They’ve experienced four times more cases than their share of the state population.

People filing for unemployment claims are still having problems with the process, according to KPCC’s David Wagner.
