KPCC’s Elly Yu reports a federal judge in California has ordered U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to reduce the population at the Adelanto Detention Center out of concerns over the coronavirus and the challenges of social distancing within the facility.
Los Angeles area community activists who work with immigrants are getting reports of people too afraid to get medical treatment, according to KPCC’s Erick Galindo.
Today the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health ordered all nursing homes to test all the residents and staff for COVID-19, even if they don’t have symptoms, according to reporter Jackie Fortier.
