Reporter Roundup: COVID-19 Busts Local Budgets
On the April 20 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss how the coronavirus is busting local budgets as new data suggests the disease is much more widespread than initially believed.
KPCC reporter Libby Denkmann has details on the city budget released today by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and reporter Carla Javier reports Los Angeles Unified School District has far outspent its budget.
The COVID-19 outbreak in Los Angeles County is far more widespread than officials, an estimated 55 times bigger than the number of confirmed cases, according to new research. KPCC’s Jackie Fortier has the details.
