Comfort Women Survivor Il-Chul Kang Speaks Out

During World War II, teenage girls living in countries under Japanese Imperial control were abducted, coerced, or deceived into sexual slavery. Known as "Comfort Women," the Japanese Imperial Army beat, brutalized, raped, burned, and mutilated the young girls. In 2007, the United States passed House Resolution 121 encouraging Japan to formally acknowledge and apologize for "comfort women".
