Since he was born, Carlos has worked with his family at their wholesale fruit shop in the 7th Street Market downtown. He wakes up at 1:30AM six days a week, ready to open the shop by 3AM. Growing up nearby in Boyle Heights, Carlos has had a front row seat to the gentrification happening in that neighborhood, and now he sees similar changes coming to the market.
