Why Snapchat and Uber are under intense scrutiny over values

Snapchat is about to sell its stock to the public for the first time. Is the app, used by 160 million people each day, really worth $24 billion? Meanwhile, popular transportation app Uber has been flung into the spotlight amid claims of sexual harassment and a video showing CEO Travis Kalanick in a contentious exchange with an Uber driver.
