Hezbollah, considered a terrorist group by the U.S. and others, has been a crucial fighting force in Syria's civil war, integral to the survival of the Assad regime. While the Lebanese militant group’s popularity across the Middle East has plummeted, its military might has been hugely strengthened, an evolution that is being anxiously watched by Israel.
