Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo

Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo was a wealthy Sonoma Racheros, a general in the Mexican Army who favored annexation to the United States. In 1846 he was awakened by a mob and forced to resign his post as Military Commander of California and later arrested.
