During his lifetime, Jonas Salk helped conquer polio and founded The Salk Institute for Biological Studies. By the time he was 45 years old, the significance of his accomplishments far exceeded his years. Through archival footage and interviews with close friends, family and colleagues, Salk is remembered for his scientific contributions as well as for being a model of strength and integrity.
