Nick Macchione is the FACHE Director of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency. He remembers the moment when COVID-19 was first declared a local emergency. He is proud of every frontline worker for fulfilling their duties and hopes that future generations will be stronger and better prepared as a result of today.
