Denise Foster, DNP, RN, PHN, NE-BC is the Chief Nursing Officer of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency. In the very early days of the pandemic, she realized how daunting the task of testing and obtaining PPE would be. She is proud of her team’s speedy response to the needs of the homeless population. She shares stories of homeless individuals who tested positive.
