West Valley Bikeway
Play the L.A. River is a come-one-come-all project by the arts collective Project 51 -- a collective of L.A. River-loving artists, designers, planners, writers, educators -- that invites Angelenos to explore, enjoy, reclaim, and reimagine the mighty L.A. River as a grand civic space that can green and connect our communities.

Two new miles of bikeway. Cool design touches on gates, signs, lamps. Classic Valley landscape. Why wait any longer?
This new bike path connects to the existing city bike path that extends to the Vanalden Avenue footbridge for two-mile continuous bike path. This is another piece in the puzzle for a continuous bike path along the river, from Canoga Park -- where the L.A. River beigns -- to the Sepulveda Basin and downtown L.A. With its proximity to the Metro Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), it provides easy access to other parts of the city via transfers on the Metro Rail system -- which you can ride along with your bikes.
