Award for Variety Studio: Actors on Actors
Star-Studded Series Honored
in the Category of Outstanding Special Class Series
Burbank, Calif. – Mar. 21, 2019 – PBS SoCal, Southern California's home for the premieres of new PBS programs, announced today that Variety Studio: Actors on Actors has been honored by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) with a nomination in the category of “Outstanding Special Class Series” for the 46th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards. Variety Studio: Actors on Actors has previously won two Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, out of five nominations.
Variety Studio: Actors on Actors is an interview series that features pairings of prominent actors discussing their craft, produced by PBS SoCal in partnership with Variety Media, LLC. The 2018 season included exclusive one-on-one conversations between top acting talent from the year’s most notable television programs. Actors featured in the 2018 season included: Bill Hader (“Barry”) with Jason Bateman (“Ozark” and “Arrested Development”), Michael B. Jordan (“Fahrenheit 451”) with Issa Rae (“Insecure”), Sharon Stone (“Mosaic”) with Debra Messing (“Will & Grace”) and more.
The 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday, May 3, 2019. The Daytime Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. during the 2018 calendar year.
