PBS SoCal Earns Five Telly Awards in the 40th Annual Celebration of the Best in Television

Burbank, Calif. – June 4, 2019 – PBS SoCal, Southern California's home for the premieres of new PBS programs, is proud to announce it earned five Telly Awards for its original programming in the categories of Biography, Directing and Entertainment. In its 40th year, the Telly Awards honors excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials, non-broadcast video and TV programs.

Iconic Vision: John Parkinson, Architect of Los Angeles (Co-produced by PBS SoCal and Clear Sky Films)
Iconic Vision tells the story John Parkinson, the architect who created many of Los Angeles’ most iconic structures, including City Hall, The Coliseum, Union Station and Bullocks Wilshire among many others.
The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. Established in 1979, The Telly Awards receives over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council—an industry body of over 200 leading experts including advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks, reflective of the multiscreen industry The Telly Awards celebrates.
