Los Angeles Press Club Honors KCET and PBS SoCal with 59 Nominations for 65th Annual Southern California Journalism Awards

Los Angeles, Calif. – May 15, 2023 – PBS SoCal and KCET, Southern California’s flagship PBS stations, announced today 59 nominations for the 65th Annual Southern California Journalism Awards presented by the Los Angeles Press Club. The nominations were spread across 40 different categories and honored a variety of locally produced series/productions from KCET and PBS SoCal. Winners will be announced in all categories presented during a ceremony on Sunday, June 25th at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.
KCET Original award-winning series including ARTBOUND, BROKEN BREAD, LOST LA and EARTH FOCUS dominated the organization’s nominations with 56 recognitions during the reveal of the nominations in all print, radio, podcast, TV and online categories. All of the honorees’ work can be seen on kcet.org , pbssocal.org and on the free PBS video App.
