KCET IN LOS ANGELES ADDS "NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT" TO ITS NEWS LINEUP
Will Bring the Leading Unbiased Business News Program
to Nearly Three Million Southern California Area Viewers
MIAMI (December 21, 2011) - Beginning Jan. 1, 2012, Southern California residents can turn to KCET for trusted, credible, unbiased business news - with the popular NBR "Nightly Business Report", which has delivered timely investment information that helps viewers manage their money and stay abreast of the news that affects their portfolios for more than three decades.
"We are pleased to announce the return of Nightly Business Report to KCET at 3:30 p.m. each weekday and expand our international news block of BBC World News, Al Jazeera English, IBA/Israel News, and NHK/Japan Newsline," said Al Jerome, President & Chief Executive Officer. "KCET remains committed to providing our audience with a wider view of the world through trusted news sources, and we are excited about adding Nightly Business Report to better inform our viewers about the challenging global economic and business landscape."
Launched in January 1979 by the Miami public television station WPBT2, where it was produced as a regional series, NBR immediately gained national interest. American Public Television distributes the series nationally, and NBR has strong, national carriage by over 90 percent of the nation's public television stations. The series is co-anchored by Susie Gharib and Tom Hudson.
