Most of the iconic and historic restaurants that still exist in Northridge, Mission Hills and North Hills come from the period of major growth and expansion after WWII, built by the young families who began moving to the Valley seeking the American Dream.
Prohibition and urbanization led to the closure of almost all wineries in Los Angeles. That is, except for one named San Antonio Winery, which has been held together by a mixture of hard work, smart thinking and family values for the past 100 years.
