Social media has allowed the NELA RC interns to not only capture, but to share their experiences of canvassing Atwater Village, Cypress Park, Elysian Valley, Glassell Park, and Lincoln Heights.
When I moved to Lincoln Heights I looked at the walls and there was graffiti everywhere, and I thought "It's just like home, it shouldn't be so bad."
At the end of the day, as the surveyor, my personal judgment is irrelevant. I am simply there to collect the opinions, desires and needs of the residents that would be most affected by the creation of a riverfront district.
