Shane Coffield is postdoctoral researcher in the Biospheric Sciences Division at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where he uses satellite data to track and analyze wildfires. He recently completed his doctorate in Earth System Science from UC Irvine, studying the impacts of climate change on ecosystems and wildfire in the Western US.
