Megan Steigerwald Ille

Megan Steigerwald Ille's research examines the intersections of operatic, popular, and digital cultures in the twenty-first century United States and Canada. Her work on the contemporary opera industry considers questions of spectatorship, representation, digital intimacy, access, community engagement and performer experiences. She is currently completing a book on The Industry's 2013-2020 productions entitled "Opera for Everyone: Experimenting with American Opera in the Digital Age" and serves as an Assistant Professor, Educator at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.
