Kamren Curiel
Kamren Curiel is a third-generation Xicana who was born in East L.A. and raised in South San Gabriel. She studied Journalism at San Francisco State University, where her passion for social activism and La Raza studies grew. An internship at San Francisco Mission's El Tecolote newspaper led to a career writing for the L.A. Times, Latina magazine, Voto Latino, Huffington Post, Remezcla.com and L. A. Taco. She resides in El Sereno with her husband, two daughters and anxiety-ridden dog Bidi.
