Janett Barragán Miranda

Janett Barragán Miranda grew up in various cities throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Currently she is doctoral candidate in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara and her dissertation focuses on the intersection of food, race, and politics. Janett also works at the Chicana/o Studies Institute at UCSB where she conducts workshops and focus groups as a bilingual instructor with preschool children and their parents.
