Ian M. Baldwin
Ian M. Baldwin received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he studied American metropolitan, sexual, and Western history. His dissertation traced the evolution of gay liberation in Los Angeles County through the lens of housing rights, connecting narratives of sexual justice to urban policies and transformations. A native Southern Californian, he currently coordinates the L.A. History and Metro Studies Group at the Huntington Library and teaches courses in History and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Redlands.
