Bryan Mendez has worked as a Coachella Unincorporated youth reporter since January 2015. He enjoys creating videos and multimedia stories from the eastern Coachella Valley and helping other young people learn how to strengthen their video and audio skills.

In a community surrounded by desert as far as the eye can see, there’s a group of skateboarders, known as the ‘North Shore Misfits,’ who regularly turn the abandoned buildings and streets of North Shore and Mecca into their own makeshift skate park.
