Ameera Butt is a Los Angeles-based journalist and online web producer. Her work has appeared in the Austin American-Statesman, McClatchy D.C., Merced Sun-Star and News Deeply. In 2011, she helped the McClatchy D.C. bureau with coverage on the Libyan civil war. She focuses on social justice issues, health and poverty.
