On Sunday, June 9, 2024, PBS SoCal hosted their annual educational event Summer Learning Day. The fun-filled, family-friendly day in the community took place at the California Science Center. Thank you to the approximately 8,000 guests who enjoyed this year's theme, "Let's Explore Together!"

PBS SoCal invites you and your family to a day of exploration with Summer Learning Day 2024!

On Sunday, June 9, from 10 am to 3 pm, at the California Science Center.

Join us for a family-friendly event with:

  • Fun kids entertainment — Come see the Jamming on the Job podcast talent perform with hosts Andrés and Christina (from 123 Andrés), and Pierce
  • A bilingual Family Math Sing-Along with the band from Baila Baila
  • Learning activities
  • Educational resources
  • Photo opportunities with PBS KIDS characters

This event is free and open to the public, entry will be given on a first come, first served basis.

What is Summer Learning Day?
Summer Learning Day is a free family event organized by PBS SoCal that brings the community together to discover learning everywhere. The event features fun, educational activities and resources for families as well as engaging and lively entertainment. This year, PBS SoCal is thrilled to collaborate with the California Science Center located in historic Exposition Park in Los Angeles.

When is Summer Learning Day?
Sunday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Is Summer Learning Day free?
The event is free and open to the public.

General admission to the California Science Center is always free, and includes some permanent exhibit galleries.

Is there ADA accommodation?
Yes. ADA parking will be available in the lot next to the museum. The museum also has ADA accommodation.

What are the parking options?
Go Metro! Exit at the Expo Park/USC Station. Parking in Exposition Park is $15. Visit the California Science Center website for more information on how to get there, parking and public transportation information.
