Downey Recreation Center Bicycle Hub in Lincoln Heights

The Downey Recreation Center is located at the heart of Lincoln Height's main streets and adjacent to the River. This area is home to about a dozen schools within a ¾ mile radius and surrounded by streets that are neither pedestrian or bicycle friendly.

This project aims to transform the Downey Recreation Center into a river-oriented bicycle hub by working with local students, artists, fabricators, and suppliers to create a pedestrian and bicycle friendly public space network in Lincoln Heights.
