President Joe Biden’s official recognition of the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Empire more than a century ago has been greeted by celebrations from Armenian Americans. While the nation has yet to feel the repercussions of such a bold statement on our geopolitical relations with Turkey, it is a time to remember the contributions of the Armenian diaspora in the nation’s socio-cultural life from art, music, food and politics.
