Q&A immediately following with Academy Award-winners Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Coleman along with director Florian Zeller.

An aging Welshman struggles with progressing memory loss as his daughter moves into his flat with him. Anthony is 80, mischievous, living defiantly alone and rejecting the carers that his daughter, Anne, encouragingly introduces. Yet help is also becoming a necessity for Anne; she can’t make daily visits anymore and Anthony’s grip on reality is unravelling. Co-written and directed by Florian Zeller, based on his 2012 play “Le Père,” the film stars Anthony Hopkins, Olivia Colman, Mark Gatiss, Imogen Poots, Rufus Sewell and Olivia Williams.

Colman shared, “I completely love this story. It's one of the most beautifully written scripts about this subject, and the prospect of working with Anthony was yet another reason for agreeing to do the film. Mind you, working with Rufus Sewell who plays Paul my husband, wasn't exactly a hardship either! The script really shows what it must be like to live the life of a man suffering from Alzheimers, when there are moments of clarity mixed with moments of obscurity. Anne wants to care for her father, but she also has to live her life. She must make some very hard decisions.”

Immediately following the screening, Deadline’s chief film critic Pete Hammond, who can also be seen on KCET’s Must See Movies, will moderate a Q&A with Academy Award-winners Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Coleman along with director Florian Zeller.

The film screens on Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. PST. Only $10 per viewing link. Limited space available.
