How To Find and Install Apps on Chromecast with Google TV

1. Create a PBS Account

We recommend creating a PBS account before you download the app.

If you already have an account, please move on to step 2

2. Search

  • To download the PBS Video App onto your Android device, turn on your Android TV and navigate to the home screen 
  • Select the Apps tab and click on the Google Play Store 
  • Choose the Search icon 
  • Type PBS in the search and click the PBS app.

3. Install

  • Click Install to install the PBS app on the Sharp Android TV 
  • Click Open to launch the PBS app and click Activate Now to get the Activation Code.  

  • Activate the app at pbs.org/activate on your mobile or computer 
  • Enter the Activation Code and click on the Continue button 

4. Sign in to Your PBS Account

Once the app is downloaded and installed, login with your PBS Account Credentials* and stream the content.

*If you have the Passport benefit, be sure to log in with your Passport linked account credentials.

When you contributed to PBS Socal | KCET, you should have received an email with a link to activate Passport. Just click the link in the email to create your login. Once you do that, you’ll be able to use that same login to watch video on the PBS app on your Roku, Apple TV, Fire Stick, phone or tablet - or here at pbssocal.org.
