Here's Where to Find California's 2022 Midterm Elections Results (Live Updates)
On Election Night — which this year is Tuesday, November 8, 2022 — the California Secretary of State will start releasing partial election results arriving from the state’s 58 counties at 8 p.m., which is when the polls close. They will be updated throughout the night.
With vote-by-mail and early in-person voting becoming more popular, the results are no longer 100% contingent on who shows up to the polls on Tuesday.
However, processing and counting ballots is a time-consuming and arduous task for county election officials — which means we can't necessarily depend on having final results until later in the week.
In the days after November 8, the Secretary of State will update the results at 5:00 p.m. each day throughout the canvass as counties count the remaining ballots.
Here's where you can find up-to-minute update on elections results, thanks to our partners at PBS NewsHour and Associated Press. Bookmark this page and return at 8 p.m. PST on Election Night to see how the races will be determined.
The official certified results of the election will be posted on the Secretary of State's Election Results website by December 16, 2022.
