Recipe: Blue Betty Cocktail

Toast the summer with this berry-forward drink from the folks at Deep Eddy Vodka. (Or if you fancy, you can toast to Betty.) This is also excellent as a mocktail if you're planning an all-ages soirée. Just omit the vodka and double the sparkling water. Enjoy!
Blue Betty
Makes one cocktail
¼ ounce agave nectar or simple syrup
6 blueberries
1 basil leaf
¼ ounce fresh lemon juice
2 ounces vodka
2 ounces sparkling water
Blueberry and basil leaf garnish
Muddle together syrup, blueberries, basil leaf, and lemon juice in a thick-bottomed glass. Cap the glass with a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain over ice.
Top with sparkling water. Garnish with blueberry and basil leaf.
