Meet Splash and Bubbles!
We are beyond excited for the brand new show on PBS Kids from the brilliant minds at the Jim Henson Studios... Meet Splash and Bubbles!
This new series follows the adventures of Splash, a yellow fusilier fish, Bubbles, a Mandarin dragonet, and their friends as they explore the world’s ocean habitats, make new friends and learn about the many different ways wildlife looks and lives under the sea. Being so close to the ocean here in SoCal, we're especially thrilled to have this new program on our airwaves. It's sure to inspire a whole new generation to be curious in marine biology!
Through that marine lens, Splash and Bubbles is immersed in a social-emotional curriculum that focuses on themes of diversity, individuality, interconnectedness and the celebration of learning and discovery. The series also introduces the concepts of ecological balance and the importance of taking care of the ocean. All of which are crucial themes for today's youth.
The series is created by John Tartaglia (“ImaginOcean,” “Johnny and the Sprites”), coproduced by The Jim Henson Company (DINOSAUR TRAIN, SID THE SCIENCE KID) and Herschend Enterprises (Dollywood, Harlem Globetrotters) and funded in part by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. And what's more, all the music featured in the show has a funk, soul, and R&B vibe that will have kids and their parents grooving to the beat!
So get ready to 'dive in' and meet the whole Splash and Bubbles gang by tuning in for the "One Big Ocean Special" on January 16 at 10 a.m.
