Build a Picture
Practice spatial reasoning by moving pieces around to recreate a fun, kid-friendly picture!

Learning Goals:
  • Use spatial words (e.g. next to, above, behind, etc.) to describe where objects are in the picture. For example, “the turtle is behind the tree.”
  • Listen and apply ideas about relative position.

Various shapes made to look like a whale in the sea, a turtle on the beach and a palm tree
Use shapes to solve simple puzzles and make something new!
Topiary garden with a teddy bear inside that is being used to measure distances
Pretend to throw silly objects and measure how far they go.
A man with a mustache overlooking all of the treats he wants to eat like tacos and bananas and popsicles
Feed this hungry papa and practice sorting.
Kids holding balloons watch from the sideline of a parade as poodles on beachballs follow men marching and playing trumpets
Watch a parade and predict what comes next in the pattern.
Living room of a house with a fireplace and various objects for sorting.
Count things you find around the house.
