It's Me! Dad! (1999)
Fritz Coleman's 1999 one-man theater act, "It's Me! Dad!," chronicles the performer's personal history and experiences, as told to his children. The show, presented as a mock time-capsule video, covers topics such as death, divorce, alcoholism, and sex -- subjects Fritz deems too sensitive for his, at the time, six and eight-year-old sons. The overall message of the show, however, is uplifting as Colemen reflects on some of the highlights of his career as well as the life lessons he's learned along the way. He talks frankly about fear and forgiveness, the pitfalls of his generation and generations past, and most importantly, the joys of fatherhood.
