It was during COVID lockdown writer and co-director Kelly O'Sullivan had seen a trailer for the National Theatre's production of "Romeo and Juliet," which was originally planned as a live play, but the theatre pivoted and made it into a filmed version. By the end of watching the trailer, O'Sullivan found herself crying, not because of the play, but because she was lonely and really missed being part of a group of people making something. She soon partnered with director Alex Thompson, and they started working on assembling a film crew and cast Keith Kupferer as the central character of Dan.
Immediately following the screening, Deadline's chief film critic Pete Hammond, who can also be seen on PBS SoCal's Must See Movies, moderates an in-person Q&A with lead actor Keith Kupferer.
