Brenda Cibrian x PBS SoCal Collaboration
This campaign ended on May 12, 2024.
We’re so excited to officially announce our second annual local artist collaboration. The incredible Los Angeles muralist Brenda Cibrian designed a stunning image exclusively for PBS SoCal supporters.
We asked Brenda to come up with an image that represents the wonderful viewers we have across Southern California. And wow, did she deliver!
The Brenda x PBS SoCal Collection features her Viewers Like You theme artwork on a hoodie and a beach towel. With your donation, you can not only support the programs you love, but also put the spotlight on an artist right here in our community.
But these gifts are only available until May 12. So there's no time to lose. Please, make your donation now.
Your local PBS station’s collaboration will continue to represent the creative and culture values we have with the local artist community.
Meet Brenda Cibrian
Possessing a stimulating artistic voice, Brenda Cibrian enchants her audiences with her contemplative, wondrous, enigmatic demeanor and transports them into another dimension that is both fantastical and familiar. Her ability to juxtapose incongruous imagery emerges as her defining characteristic, which is a reflection of her life experiences.
Inspired by nostalgia, everyday life and the surreal, Brenda’s use of bold and vivid hues intertwined with delicate brushstrokes awakens the walls of Los Angeles County communities. Whether portraying the serene tranquility of Mexican desert landscapes or inspiring authenticity by paying homage to Frida Kahlo, her art evokes a spectrum of emotions — inviting introspection and connection.
Brenda is currently a resident artist at The Hive Gallery and Studios in Downtown Los Angeles.
