Funk Freaks is Keeping Funk Alive in Orange County

For Funk Freaks co-founders, Ivan "Debo" Marquez, David "Loser" Diaz and Robert "Luer" Marquez, funk music is a huge part of Orange County Chicanx culture. The DJ collective (and later record shop) was influenced by the trio's youthful memories listening to funk hits, passed down generation to generation. Discover how Funk Freaks began at a party 13 years ago and how they keep funk alive today.
