Basquiat ‘King Pleasure’ Exhibit Offers Intimate View of Iconic Artist's Life

The "Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure" exhibition tells the story of the iconic artist through a personal and intimate lens. Curated by Basquiat's sisters, Jeanine Heriveaux and Lisane Basquiat, the exhibition intertwines the artist's life, influences and work through rare artworks, ephemera and recreations of Jean-Michel's New York studio and the living room of his childhood home.

"Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure" is on view at The Grand LA from March 31 through Oct. 15, 2023.
